Jacksonville Jaguars Restructure The Contract Of Veteran Defensive Lineman
The Jacksonville Jaguars took a major step forward in 2022, taking home the AFC South crown and challenging the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round, and with a good off-season, they'll no doubt be looking to take another massive leap forward.
Recently, they've made a move that could allow other good moves to follow, as the team have officially restructured the contract of defensive lineman Foley Fatukasi, converting $7.375 million of his salary into a signing bonus, creating almost $6 million in salary cap space.
After bringing back Evan Engram on the franchise tag and having Calvin Ridley activated, they've already improved their roster, and with links to players like Calais Campbell, this would no doubt help them improve the team going forward. The Jaguars have restructured the contract of DL Foley Fatukasi by converting $7.375M of his base salary into a signing bonus (with three void years added), creating $5.9M in 2023 cap space.
