Indianapolis Colts Signing Pro Bowl Kicker
The Indianapolis Colts seemed like a team with absolutely no direction in 2022, but now that they have a new Head Coach and a top pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, it's clear that this team knows exactly where they are headed in the near future.
They weren't very active on day one of free agency, but late in the night, the Colts have struck a deal with former Los Angeles Rams Pro Bowl Kicker Matt Gay, signing him to a four-year, $22.5 million deal, the biggest ever free agency deal for a kicker.
Over the past two seasons, Gay has converted on 60 of 64 field goal attempts, as well as being 79 of 81 on extra points, and while it won't solve the problems that saw them disappoint in 2022, it's certainly a fantastic pickup for the Colts. The #Colts are signing kicker Matt Gay to a four-year, $22.5 million deal.
