Former 49ers’ free-agent DE Samson Ebukam reached agreement on a three-year, $27 million max deal with the Indianapolis Colts that includes over $11 million in the first year, per @JFowlerESPN and me. Cameron Foster and @chriscabott confirmed and negotiated deal.

Despite not being a household name, Ebukam has been a consistent player over his six years in the league, steadily improving each year. In total, he has recorded 23.5 sacks, 28 tackles for loss, 52 QB hits, eight forced fumbles, and five fumble recoveries (one for a TD) in 96 games, 61 of which he started.
The 27-year-old outside linebacker played a crucial role in one of the league's best defensive units in 2022.

Ebukam will likely play a big role on the Colts' defensive line this upcoming season as a rotational pass-rusher next to Kwity Paye and Dayo Odeyingbo.
This past season, the 27-year-old recorded 36 total tackles, five sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one pass defended across 15 games played.
