Houston Texans Sign Veteran Wide Receiver
The Houston Texans have been a team without direction in recent years, but after bringing in a new, young Head Coach in DeMeco Ryans and landing two draft picks in the top-12 of the 2023 NFL Draft, there's certainly some renewed optimism in Houston.
With Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins already on the roster, the Texans decided it best to add another veteran weapon before the draft, where they may take a chance on a young name, as they've now officially signed former Los Angeles Rams and Tennessee Titans wide receiver Robert Woods on a two-year deal worth $15.25M.
They'll still be looking to find support for whichever young Quarterback they draft at No. 2 overall in six weeks time, but for now, it looks like Houston is assembling a solid core group of weapons, which will help them as they continue their rebuild.Sources: Former #Titans and #Rams WR Robert Woods is signing with the #Texans, adding a veteran presence to a young team. He gets a 2-year, $15.25M deal with $10M fully guarantee and a max value of $17M.
