For the second straight off-season, the saga of Aaron Rodgers is seemingly dominating the headlines, but now, it appears his options have been narrowed down as he emerged from his darkness retreat to make a decision about his future in the NFL.
While a decision certainly hasn't been made yet, ESPN's Adam Schefter gave a solid update on Friday, saying that he gets the sense that Rodgers' choice will come down to whether he wants to play elsewhere or retire, saying those are the two likely options.
At this point, a return to Green Bay seems incredibly unlikely, and with the New York Jets being the only team in aggressive pursuit of the four-time MVP, unless something changes, it does appear that it's either the Jets or retirement for AR12 at this point."My sense is ultimately it will come down to whether he wants to play elsewhere, which would be really the New York Jets, or whether he wants to retire. To me, those are the two most logical options and the two most likely scenarios here."
