Sweeney, a former seventh-rounder from the Bills in 2019, completed his four-year, $2.6 million rookie contract and was not extended by Buffalo. He will now reportedly play in New Jersey with the Giants.
Last season the 27-year-old only appeared in five games for Buffalo and caught one target for seven yards.
The Giants will now have another TE on their depth chart alongside their newly signed star Darren Waller.
