Detroit Lions Sign Safety To Two-Year Deal

The Detroit Lions have signed cornerback C.J. Moore to a two-year contract worth $4.5 million.

Moore had previously spent his first four seasons with the Lions, but was waived in August due to an injury settlement.

The new deal includes $3 million fully guaranteed and will see Moore primarily playing on special teams while also serving as a reserve defender.

Moore, a former undrafted free agent, has been a standout on special teams for the Lions and is expected to continue in that role.

With this signing, the Lions have brought back a familiar face and bolstered their special teams unit.

Entering his fifth NFL season, the 27-year-old has recorded 48 total tackles, one fumble recovery, one interception and two passes defended across 56 games played.
