Detroit Lions Rumors: Long Snapper On Team's Radar
The Detroit Lions are considering making an addition to their roster, as they worked out long snapper Jake McQuaide on Sunday (March 19).
McQuaide has made appearances in each of the last 12 seasons, but now he is looking for the opportunity to change that to 13. The 35-year-old only appeared in four games last season with the Dallas Cowboys, however.
Yet, when noting that McQuaide is a grizzled veteran who has appeared in two Pro Bowls, it certainly could be enough for the Lions to sign him. After all, they are a team on the rise, and they could use a veteran like him to help mentor their younger players.
Nevertheless, we will now need to wait and see if McQuaide impressed the Lions enough to earn himself a contract from here.
Over the course of McQuaide's 12-year career, he has appeared in 181 games between the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams and Cowboys.
