Badgley played in 12 games last season, splitting his time between the Lions and the Chicago Bears. He impressed during his time with the Lions, converting 83% of his field goal attempts, including hitting two of three kicks from 50 yards or longer.
He also had a season-long kick of 53 yards and was successful on all of his extra-point attempts.

Despite having moved around the league in recent years, the 27-year-old is expected to start the season as the Lions' primary kicker.
This re-signing should provide stability to the Lions' kicking game.
