Coveted Edge Rushing Prospect Tyree Wilson Nearly Recovered From Foot Procedure
One of the NFL Draft's most intriguing prospects should be medically cleared soon to participate in pre-draft testing. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport shared a letter from renowned foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson, who operated on Texas Tech edge rusher Tyree Wilson in November and expects to clear the promising pass rusher for football activities in the coming weeks.
Wilson compiled 17.0 sacks, 32.0 tackles for loss, and 121 total tackles across his four-year college career. He was unable to participate at the NFL Combine, but he wowed NFL evaluators by measuring in at 6'6" and 271 lbs with gargantuan 35 5/8" arms. He is expected to go in the early portion of the first round in the NFL Draft.Consensus Top 10 pick Tyree Wilson is being medically cleared by renowned foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson.

Anderson advised Wilson not to sweat while his incision heals, so he won’t work out at Texas Tech pro day next week. He plans to hold a workout for teams in mid-April. pic.twitter.com/IeZLDIUOm4
Players with Wilson's length and explosiveness don't come along every day. He may not have the resume of fellow top draft prospect Will Anderson Jr., but some teams may prefer his significantly more imposing frame. A strong showing at his eventual workout could solidify him as a top 10 pick.
