Carolina Panthers Talk To Young QB About A Reunion This Off-Season
The Carolina Panthers may have fallen short of the NFC South crown in 2022, but they showed plenty of potential towards the end of the year, and while that can be attributed to their newfound success with the running game, Sam Darnold played a great role on stabilizing this offence.
While they certainly have their eyes on the 2023 NFL Draft as a way to fill their Quarterback void this off-season, it has now been reported that the Panthers are looking into a reunion with Darnold, who protected the ball well and helped this offence when he took over in 2022.
Darnold ended the 2022 season with a 59% completion rate, 7 Touchdowns and 3 Interceptions, and while he's not going to be their starter for the next decade, if he can be a good bridge and help them compete in the division this year, it would be a major positive.Update: The #Panthers working on re-signing QB Sam Darnold, a source told @DNewtonespn pic.twitter.com/816xhOpXFS
