Carolina Panthers Plan To Release Veteran Linebacker
The Carolina Panthers haven't been a great team for a number of years now, but 2022 showed plenty of encouraging signs for the future of the organization, and with the addition of one of the best coaching staffs in the NFL, 2023 could be a very fun year.
Unfortunately, it looks like one player that won't be with them for that run will be veteran linebacker Damien Wilson, saving them $3.6M in cap space as they look to build this team for success going forward.
In 2022, Wilson had a career high 106 tackles, 5 tackles for loss and 3 sacks, and with his eight years of experience at the NFL level, he will no doubt be a low risk addition for a playoff, linebacker needy team in 2023.Panthers plan to release LB Damien Wilson, sources tell @theScore.
