Carolina Panthers GM Shuts Down Link To Superstar Quarterback
The Carolina Panthers have been incredibly active this off-season, as they have assembled a fantastic coaching staff, as well as giving up a haul to trade up to the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, and at this point, we should be expecting plenty more moves from this young team.
With the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, the team have now made their stance official that they will not be pursuing Lamar Jackson, with the next Quarterback of this team almost certainly coming from that No. 1 spot.
For Lamar, this is another team that has publicly stated they won't be pursuing his services, and at this point, it looks like the Baltimore Ravens could be his only option for 2023 and beyond.Panthers GM Scott Fitterer was asked whether the team considered pursuing Lamar Jackson: "He's a great option. He's a really expensive option. But we're more focused on the draft picks right now."
