BREAKING: Superstar Cornerback Officially Signs Extension With Philadelphia Eagles
A few days ago, Philadelphia Eagles fans were greeted with the news that All-Pro cornerback Darius Slay had been released, and given how tough the division is and how well he played in 2022, it's safe to say that this news wasn't taken well.
Then, last night, rumours emerged that he wasn't released at all, and today that has been officially confirmed, as the two sides have announced a two-year extension for Slay that will keep him in Philadelphia until the end of 2025.
Slay was one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL in 2022, and his return will reunite him with All-Pro James Bradberry who re-signed with the team recently, and now, it appears the Eagles are preparing for yet another deep run in 2023.He’s back: The #Eagles are keeping star CB Darius Slay after all, with the team reaching a 2-year extension through 2025, per me and @MikeGarafolo. He announced his release but wasn't actually released. The two sides got together and worked it out. The Pro Bowler sticks. pic.twitter.com/FrpVKs390f
