Baltimore Ravens Place Franchise Tag On Lamar Jackson
The Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson contract situation has seemingly been coming to a head for some time now, and on Tuesday, the organization officially informed Jackson and the NFLPA that they will be placing the non-exclusive franchise tag on him.
This tag carries a value of $32.41M for the 2023 season, but the interesting part of this is that now Jackson can negotiate with other teams, as they are able to sign an offer sheet for the former MVP Quarterback as of Wednesday March 15.
The Ravens can then choose to match any offer signed for Jackson, or they can let him go and take two first-round picks in return, and while it's tough to see what will happen, the Atlanta Falcons and New York Jets are just two of many teams that will now likely get involved in the Lamar sweepstakes.Ravens sent notice to the NFLPA that they placed the $32.41 million non-exclusive franchise tag on QB Lamar Jackson.
