Atlanta Falcons Re-Sign Linebacker
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Lorenzo Carter is set to sign a two-year contract to stay with the Atlanta Falcons.
#Falcons free agent pass-rusher Lorenzo Carter is headed back into the building today in Atlanta, set to sign a two-year deal, sources say. Off the free agent board, Atlanta keeps one of their productive young players.

Carter was one of the more notable linebackers set to become an unrestricted free agent, but now he is officially off the board and will remain as a Falcon. This is good news for the Falcons, as the 27-year-old is a notable part of their roster, and it would have been hard for them to replace him had he decided to go elsewhere.
Carter appeared in 17 games last season with the Falcons, where he recorded 58 combined tackles to go along with 4.0 sack and an interception. Overall, it is easy to understand why the Falcons have decided to bring him back, and now we will need to wait and see how he performs for them in 2023 and onward because of it.
