Arizona Cardinals Sign Former Eagles Wide Receiver

Former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Zach Pascal has signed a two-year contract with the Arizona Cardinals, reuniting with his former coach Jonathan Gannon who coached him in both of his previous stops.

Despite receiving offers from other teams, Pascal chose the Cardinals in part due to his relationship with Gannon.

Pascal had his most productive seasons in 2019 and 2020 with the Indianapolis Colts, averaging 43 receptions, 618 yards, and five touchdowns per year.

However, he had a limited role in 2022 with the Philadelphia Eagles, making just 15 catches while playing behind several other wide receivers.

Pascal's size, standing at 6-foot-2 and 214 pounds, provides the Cardinals with a larger target in their receiver group, which currently includes smaller players like Marquise Brown and Rondale Moore.

Additionally, with DeAndre Hopkins' future uncertain, Pascal could potentially serve as a cost-effective replacement for the veteran receiver if he is traded.

Despite his decreased role in 2022, Pascal will have the benefit of working with a familiar face in Gannon as he aims to return to his previous level of production with his new team.
