After playing for both the Houston Texans and the Dallas Cowboys, Watkins is expected to serve as a rotational player for the Cardinals' defensive line.
This past season, the 29-year-old recorded 26 total tackles and one forced fumble over 12 games with the Cowboys.
While he has previously been a starter, Watkins played a more supportive role in 2022, however, with the Cardinals in a rebuilding phase, he should have ample opportunities to contribute on the field.

For his career, Watkins has amassed 132 total tackles, five sacks, one forced fumble, three fumble recoveries, one interception, and six passes defended across 69 games played.
This acquisition bolsters the team's depth in the defensive line, which will be important as they look to improve in the upcoming season.
