Arizona Cardinals Restructure Contract Of Offensive Tackle
The Arizona Cardinals were very poor in 2022, and need to make plenty of smart decisions if they are to bounce back in 2023, and after finding the new Head Coach of the franchise, they'll be looking to make some solid moves on the field.
Those moves began on Friday as the team officially restructured the deal of star offensive lineman DJ Humphries, essentially saving the team $5.3M in cap space, which will be a big help as they look to add weapons around Kyler Murray.
Since arriving, Jonathan Gannon has raved about Humphries and his talent on and off the field, so it makes sense that he would make a team friendly move, and now they get to bring him back while using that cap space to recruit new stars to the desert.“He’s got phenomenal football character.”
