After years and years of major struggles, the New York Jets have finally found some young building blocks for future success, and perhaps the biggest of all is their No. 4 overall pick from the 2022 NFL Draft in Sauce Gardner.
The expected Defensive Rookie of the Year was not only a standout among rookies this past year, but he was one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL, and when asked, Gardner said that he 'most definitely' believes he can go down in NFL history as the greatest cornerback to ever play the game.
Obviously, that's just confidence from the young star, but given his length, athleticism and confidence at the position, there's no reason why, if he stays healthy, that he can't become one of the best of this generation, while chasing names like Darrelle Revis, Deion Sanders and Rod Woodson.Sauce Gardner said that he “most definitely” believes he can become the greatest ever to play the CB position.

The Jets rookie CB allowed a passer rating of 52.5 this past season, which was the lowest in the entire league.
