Washington Commanders Interested In Bringing Back Young QB
The Washington Commanders had a very interesting 2022 season, and managed to compete all season long despite all of the changes at the Quarterback position, and even just a month into the off-season, it appears that they've already made their mind up on the starter going into training camp.
That would be 2022 rookie Sam Howell, and with Carson Wentz likely out the door, the team has reportedly expressed interest in bringing back Taylor Heinicke as their backup for the 2023 season, although it's unclear what the market could be for him around the league.
Heinicke went 5-3-1 for the team throughout the year before they benched him for the returning Wentz and eventually Howell, but he can play his role well and keep them in games, so don't be surprised to see him back in Washington next season.#Commanders have expressed interest in signing back free-agent QB Taylor Heinicke, per @TheAthletic
