Tennessee Titans Release Veteran Wide Receiver
The Tennessee Titans have a massive hill to climb in 2023 if they are to get back to contending in the AFC, and with -$25 million in cap space to start the day, they've made some necessary moves on Wednesday.
After releasing star tackle Taylor Lewan, Tennessee have now also officially released veteran wide receiver Robert Woods after just one season with the team, saving themselves another $12 million, as they look to get younger at the skill positions.
The veteran had a solid year with 53 catches for 527 yards and 2 Touchdowns, and with plenty left in the tank at 30-years of age, he's very likely going to draw significant interest on the trade market in the coming weeks. The #Titans have informed WR Robert Woods that he is being released, per @Schultz_Report. That will save $12M in cap for Tennessee.
