Tampa Bay Buccaneers Hire New Offensive Coordinator
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may be the team with the biggest upcoming overhaul this off-season, with both Tom Brady and Byron Leftwich on the way out, and while they've been linked to several Quarterback replacements, their Offensive Coordinator role is one that they have to fill first.
Today, they finally wrapped up that search, by hiring Seattle Seahawks Quarterbacks Coach Dave Canales, who has spent the past 13 years under Pete Carroll, and after a career year from Geno Smith in 2022, the Buccaneers believe that will translate to success for them.
Now, the team will need to find their next starting QB, but with so much talent along the offensive line and on the outside, they have a good chance at another NFC South division crown in 2023 if they can stay healthy unlike 2022.The #Buccaneers are hiring #Seahawks QB coach Dave Canales as their new offensive coordinator, sources say. After 13 seasons as an assistant on Pete Carroll’s coaching staff, Canales heads to Tampa to run the offense for Todd Bowles.
