Seattle Seahawks Not Worried QB Will Join Former Coach In Tampa Bay
The Seattle Seahawks surprised everyone in the NFL this past season, with a fantastic rookie class and a career year from Geno Smith, and now, they have a big decision to make on whether they want to bring him back on a long-term deal or not.
This weekend, General Manager John Schneider gave a promising update on contract talks, as he claimed they were going well and the two sides are making plenty of progress, while adding on at the end that they aren't worried he will follow their former QB coach to Tampa Bay, where he recently became the Offensive Coordinator.
While Smith isn't proven as a winner at the NFL level, he was fantastic in 2022, and protected the ball well, and after finding a fantastic young running back and great defensive pieces this past year, they have a good chance to take a big step forward.
