Seattle Seahawks Hire New Quarterback Coach
The Seattle Seahawks saw an incredible season from veteran Quarterback Geno Smith in 2022, and unsurprisingly, that means that their QB Coach Dave Canales was drawing plenty of attention as a future Offensive Coordinator, eventually taking that role in Tampa Bay.
Now, to replace him, they're expected to name Greg Olson as their next QB Coach, and with Geno Smith likely to return, Seattle are hoping that they can find magic once again, so a longtime veteran like Olson may be the best choice.
The 59-year old has been a coach in the NFL since 2001, and has six different stints as an Offensive Coordinator under his belt, this is certainly a great play, especially if the Seahawks can build on an impressive offensive showing in 2022.The Seahawks are expected to hire Greg Olson as QB coach, a source confirms (@jjones9 first). Olson (not to be confused with ex-TE Greg Olsen) is a longtime NFL assistant with six stints/15 seasons as an OC. He spent last season as a senior offensive assistant with the Rams.
