Seattle Seahawks Center Announces Retirement
The Seattle Seahawks are coming into a critical off-season on the back of a very successful 2022 campaign, and if they can add to their young core of talented pieces, there's a very good chance that they'll once again be competing for the NFC West again in 2023.
On the eve of free agency when they can begin adding weapons, the team have now officially lost their starting center, as Austin Blythe has announce his retirement from the NFL after starting all 17 games for the team in 2022.
He was scheduled to be a free agent, so there was a chance that he wouldn't return for Seattle anyway, but after being a 7th round pick back in 2016, Blythe can retire after a solid career in the NFL after playing in 75 games and starting 49 of them.Seahawks’ starting center Austin Blythe, who was scheduled to be a free agent, announced his retirement from the NFL at age 30. https://t.co/tXZfwyM4oH
