The Seattle Seahawks announced on Tuesday that they have re-signed guard Phil Haynes to a one-year extension. He was set to become a free agent next month, but Seattle did not wait long before locking up their lineman for another season.

Haynes, who was a fourth round selection in 2019, played a career high 15 games for the Seahawks last season, and started for three. He showed his growth in 2022, after playing in just five games the previous season, and just two games in 2020.
Seattle originally waived Haynes ahead of the 2021 season, but eventually brought him back to their active roster. After completing his rookie deal in 2022, Seattle rewarded him with another contract for 2023.
