San Francisco 49ers Head Coach Confident QB Can Return In 6 Months
The San Francisco 49ers fought as hard as they could through not one, two or even three, but four Quarterback injuries in 2022, but ultimately, they just couldn't survive, as they were taken down by Philadelphia in the NFC Championship Game.
Now, they look forward to 2023, likely without Jimmy Garoppolo, with either Brock Purdy or Trey Lance as the starter, who they hope will be back, as Purdy suffered a UCL injury that many believe will keep him out anywhere from 6-9 months.
Except his Head Coach however, as Kyle Shanahan believes Purdy will be back and ready to go in 6, and with a full training camp for what will be one of the most exciting QB battles of the off-season, they'll need every rep to earn the starting role.#49ers coach Kyle Shanahan says the most encouraging thing he’s heard on Brock Purdy is if surgery is done, he’ll build up his arm strength from 3-6 months. By 6 months he’ll be “the same dude and ready to go.”
