The NFL may have put out a fantastic product yet again in 2022, with some of the most exciting games and performances we've ever seen, but unfortunately, there are still plenty of issues that need to be sorted before it becomes the best possible product.
One problem that has been identified is the officials, and specifically roughing the passer calls, with one NFL team now proposing that they should be reviewable by instant replay, with the NFL's competition committee to review the proposal on Monday.
It was just a few weeks ago that Roger Goodell called the NFL officiating 'as good as it's ever been', so it's quite unlikely that this proposal goes through, but for all fans out there, it's become very clear that something needs to change.One NFL team has proposed making roughing the passer reviewable by instant replay. The competition committee expects to review that proposal Monday.
