NFL Rumors: Dallas Cowboys Won't Franchise Tag Star Tight End
The Dallas Cowboys put together a fantastic 2022 regular season, but once again came up short in the playoffs, and now with several names looking to get paid this off-season, they'll have plenty of important decisions to make.
One of those revolves around starting tight end Dalton Schultz, who was franchise tagged a season ago, but now, it looks like the Cowboys aren't expected to do that again, and he will hit the free agent market when free agency begins in a matter of weeks.
With great numbers for a third straight year (57 catches, 577 yards, 5 Touchdowns in 2022), Schultz is going to be one of the biggest names on the market, and will likely draw plenty of attention as one of the best tight ends in the NFL, and now will be paid accordingly. The #Cowboys aren't expected to tag TE Dalton Schultz, according to @MattVerderame
