NFL Rumors: Buffalo Bills Could Franchise Tag Star Safety
The Buffalo Bills were once again one of the best regular season teams in the entire NFL in 2022, but unfortunately, they came up short when it mattered most, failing to reach the AFC Championship Game yet again, and they have some big decisions to make this off-season.
One of the biggest will be regarding their most important defensive star; safety Jordan Poyer, who is eligible for free agency, and while there's been a feeling he will test the market, the Washington Post have suggested he could be a candidate to be franchise tagged, giving the two sides further time to work out a long-term deal.
When Poyer was on the field, the Bills were close to unstoppable in 2022, and along with Matt Milano, he's considered the heart of this defence, so if they can bring him back, there will be optimism within the organization that a Super Bowl run is on the cards.
