NFL Commissioner: New Pro Bowl Format Here To Stay
The NFL attempted to make a massive change this season, as they shifted the Pro Bowl from a game that had run its course to a group of skills competition accompanied by a flag football game, and while it wasn't the greatest event, it had plenty of positives for the NFL to build on going forward.
The new format had plenty of fans, including the most important voice in the sport in NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who said there's a lot to build on and the new format will be here to stay, at least in the very near future.
Some of the events didn't exactly capture the imagination and attention of the fans, but the flag football game was plenty of fun, and if they can fine tune the weekend akin to the NHL or NBA All-Star game, this may again be a fun weekend for fans.Roger Goodell was quite pleased with last week’s Pro Bowl Games and said, “there’s a lot to build on there and I don’t see us going back.”
