NFC Team Now Favoured To Land Las Vegas Raiders Quarterback
The Las Vegas Raiders made it clear when they benched Derek Carr for the final two games of the season that his ninth year in the silver and black would be his last, and now, the battle for his services in 2023 and beyond will begin.
The New Orleans Saints will be the first team he visits with today, in hopes that he'll waive his no-trade clause to join the NFC South squad, and today, Ian Rapoport revealed that they are now the front-runners to land him, even with teams like the Colts, Jets, Buccaneers and Titans expected to be in pursuit.
If a trade can't be worked out, Carr will need to be released by February 15th, so the clock is now ticking for both sides to work out a deal, but for now, adding Carr to the talented Saints offence could make them a major contender in the NFC South. The #Saints are the "front-runner" for #Raiders QB Derek Carr, per @RapSheet on the @PatMcAfeeShow
