New York Jets Request To Interview Lions Coach For Wide Receivers Coach Role
It's been over 10 years since the New York Jets were last in the NFL playoffs, and when they were, the man in charge was the brash, confident and ultimately successful Rex Ryan, so with a spot on the coaching staff available, the team is looking to a familiar face to fill the role.
No, it's not Rex himself, but instead, the team has requested to interview his son, current Detroit Lions assistant wide receiver coach for their position of wide receiver coach, vacated by Miles Austin in recent times.
This would be a quality move for the Jets if they could pull it off, but with so many interesting pieces now on this offensive staff, it's going to be fun to see how they handle the upcoming season, a crucial one in franchise history.Jets requested permission to interview Lions’ assistant WR coach Seth Ryan for their WR coaching job. The son of Rex could land with the team his father once coached.
