New Orleans Saints To Interview Former Browns Coach For DC Role

The New Orleans Saints rolled with two Defensive Coordinator's in 2022 in the form of Ryan Nielsen and Kris Richard, but already this off-season, they've both moved on from the organization, so now the Saints have the tough task of filling the role this late in the hiring cycle.

While there's still plenty of names out there, it's likely that their top options are already off the board, and today, they'll be interviewing former Cleveland Browns Defensive Coordinator Joe Woods for the role, a veteran with many years of experience.

Woods has been a coach in the NFL since 2004, and last served as the Browns DC from 2020 before being fired three weeks ago, and if the Saints can stay healthy and bring in a veteran like Woods, they're a top candidate to turn it around in a big way in 2023.
