New England Patriots Rumors: QB Being Linked to Raiders
The Las Vegas Raiders are ready for a fresh start at the quarterback position, as the Derek Carr era is officially over. As a result, they are now weighing all of their options, and they are reportedly considering one major move. According to Sports Illustrated, New England Patriots QB Mac Jones is emerging as a trade target for them.
This certainly is an intriguing development, but at the same time, it also makes sense that the Raiders are looking at Jones. One thing that is important to note is that he thrived with Josh McDaniels during his rookie season, so it could be wise to take a chance on him. With that, the Patriots could be looking for a change at the QB position after an immensely disappointing 2022 season.
In 14 games this past season with the Pats, Jones threw 14 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, and 2,997 yards. With that, he sported a 6-8 record as a starter, so it was not a particularly impressive year for him. However, perhaps a change of scenery could be exactly what he needs to get things back on track next season.
