Minnesota Vikings Sign Two Tackles
Bringing them back.
The Minnesota Vikings made a couple of moves on Friday by re-signing offensive tackle Blake Brandel to a one-year contract and defensive tackle Khyiris Tonga.
Brandel, a sixth-round pick in 2020, appeared in nine games in 2022 and was solid in three spot-starts while left tackle Christian Darrisaw was injured. He offers positional versatility, having taken reps at tackle, center, and as a "bonus tight end."The #Vikings have re-signed T Blake Brandel, who was set to become an exclusive rights free agent. https://t.co/KaHkybCSZZ pic.twitter.com/bV0kBV8phY

Meanwhile, Tonga, a seventh-round pick by the Chicago Bears in 2021, joined Minnesota in October and made 11 appearances, tallying 28 tackles as an interior defensive lineman.
