Minnesota Vikings Announce New Defensive Coordinator
The Minnesota Vikings once again followed up a fantastic regular season with a disappointing Wild Card round loss, and while they'll be looking to make plenty of roster upgrades when free agency rolls around, their first priority this off-season became replacing Ed Donatell as the Defensive Coordinator.
After talking to many veterans and young coaches around the league, the team today made it official with Pittsburgh Steelers defensive assistant and former Miami Dolphins Head Coach Brian Flores, in a move that will be fantastic for this defence.
The Dolphins became renowned as one of the AFC's best defences under Flores, and with some veteran talent and likely an infusion of some young faces, this could finally be the move that helps Minnesota go on the deep playoff run they've so desperately been seeking for years.Steelers’ assistant coach Brian Flores is accepting the Vikings’ defensive coordinator job, per source.
