Kansas City Chiefs Head Coach Gives Update On Star QB's Ankle Injury
It was only a few weeks ago that star Quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffered an ankle sprain in the teams win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, but it was the injury that many feared could potentially limit this teams ability as they searched for their second Super Bowl of the Mahomes era.
It didn't seem to bother him too much in the AFC Championship Game win over Cincinnati, although it looked like he was playing through pain at times, but ahead of the Super Bowl matchup against Philadelphia, Head Coach Andy Reid confirmed that Mahomes can run everything in their playbook right now, and that the injury won't hold him back.
Mahomes may not be at 100%, as recovery from this type of injury often takes weeks of rest and recovery, but for a game of such magnitude, there's no way he wasn't going to be out there, and this latest update should give Chiefs fans even more confidence heading into this one.#Chiefs coach Andy Reid on Patrick Mahomes’ ankle injury: “He’s been doing really well with his ankle…He can do everything in the game plan.” pic.twitter.com/9hHH3HZMHj
