Indianapolis Colts Star Linebacker Stands Up For Interim Head Coach
The Indianapolis Colts had a very poor 2022 season, which ultimately led to the firing of Frank Reich, leading to Jeff Saturday becoming the interim Head Coach, and after a 1-8 record in his 9 games in charge, he remains a potential candidate to become the full-time Head Coach in Indianapolis.
That's drawn plenty of criticism from outside sources, and yesterday, Colts star linebacker Shaquille Leonard stood up for Saturday, saying that if he gets a full off-season and can contribute to player and staff hiring, he could be a great hire for the Colts.
At this point, it looks like the hiring of a new Head Coach will come down to Shane Steichen and Saturday, and if they believe that Jeff Saturday can be the man to lead them forward and put the entire organization behind him, then that's the play to make.
