Indianapolis Colts Name Next Offensive Coordinator
The Indianapolis Colts played through a very thorough Head Coach search early this off-season, and after announcing Philadelphia Eagles Offensive Coordinator Shane Steichen as their next Head Coach, they'll now be looking to fill out the rest of the staff ahead of free agency and the 2023 NFL Draft.
Today, the first domino has officially fallen, as the Colts have named Jim Bob Cooter, the passing game coordinator from the Jacksonville Jaguars as their next Offensive Coordinator, and given his experience with some of the best QB's in the game in the past decade, he's a great choice.
With plenty of weapons, if Indianapolis can add a good Quarterback and stay healthy, this is no doubt a team that will compete in 2023, and it's hard to argue that this was a great hire from an offensive minded Head Coach like Shane Steichen.Jim Bob Cooter is expected to be named offensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts, per sources. Last year’s pass-game coordinator with Jacksonville was former Lions OC, worked with quarterbacks Payton Manning, Matthew Stafford and Trevor Lawrence in the past.
