Indianapolis Colts Inform Another Candidate For Head Coach That They Won't Get The Job
The Indianapolis Colts certainly have one of the most attractive Head Coach vacancies in the entire NFL, and are just one of two teams not to fill the position, but over the past few days, they've been narrowing the search down, now with a specific target in mind.
Today, the team officially informed Interim Head Coach Jeff Saturday that he won't be getting the role in a permanent capacity, with their eyes reportedly dead set on Philadelphia Eagles Offensive Coordinator Shane Steichen.
Steichen has become the front runner within the organization, and while the Eagles couldn't come away with the win in Super Bowl LVII, they managed 35 points, and if the Colts can put together a good offence around a talented QB, then Steichen will certainly be a great hire. The #Colts have been informing candidates this morning that they are out, including interim coach Jeff Saturday who at one point appeared to be the favorite. Now, Shane Steichen is considered to be the leader in the clubhouse to be their next head coach.
