Houston Texans Officially Hire New Offensive Coordinator
After finally making the splash hire to bring in DeMeco Ryans as their new Head Coach, it appears the Houston Texans coaching staff is coming together, and while they've still got plenty of positions to fill, they've now got the three most important covered, with Matt Burke at Defensive Coordinator, and today, they officially hired their Offensive Coordinator.
That would be former San Francisco 49ers coach Bobby Slowik, who began his coaching career with Ryans six years ago as quality control assistants, and now, they'll team up and aim to bring this franchise back to the playoffs and towards the end of their rebuild.
With the No. 2 and 12 picks in the upcoming NFL Draft, it's a good possibility that the team will target their QB and WR1 of the future, and with Dameon Pierce and Nico Collins already on the roster, they have the makings of a solid offence if Slowik can make the step up, but for now, only time will tell. The #Texans are hiring Bobby Slowik as their offensive coordinator, per sources.
