Favourite For Denver Broncos Defensive Coordinator Role Revealed
The Denver Broncos may have had a disastrous 2022 season, but the moves they've made this off-season could very well help them bounce back next season, and if they can add a solid Defensive Coordinator to the staff being assembled by Sean Payton, they'll be a team to watch.
If the reports from NFL Insider Ian Rapoport are to be believed, the favourite for the role would be an incredibly exciting one, as ESPN's Rex Ryan is in the drivers seat to return to the sidelines for the first time since being fired by the Buffalo Bills.
This would be an incredible story, as it would be exactly seven years between coaching roles for Ryan if he were to return, and given the pedigree and success he's had as a defensive coach, he could no doubt have this team looking as elite defensively as they were in 2022.Comeback? Rex Ryan has emerged as a top candidate for the #Broncos defensive coordinator job, per me and @MikeGarafolo. Ryan has been on ESPN after being fired by the #Bills in 2016. If all goes well, he could be headed back in the NFL. pic.twitter.com/pkPzR7SY1D
