Detroit Lions Hire Veteran Coach
The Detroit Lions were one of the biggest positive stories in the 2022 NFL season, as their young offence took a massive step forward around Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jared Goff and their bright new Offensive Coordinator, and now this off-season will be focused on taking that next step into becoming genuine playoff contenders.
Part of that is bringing in veteran influences, and today, the Lions officially hired one of the best, as they brought in veteran defensive coach John Fox, who served as the Head Coach for the Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears and Denver Broncos throughout his career.
That career has spanned over three decades in the NFL, and while his time has passed as a Head Coach, he's now being hired as a senior defensive consultant, and with their talented young pieces on the defensive side of the ball, he'll be a fantastic addition.Former Carolina, Chicago and Denver head coach John Fox appears headed to the Lions as a senior defensive consultant, per league source. Fox had a similar role with the Colts this past season.
