Detroit Lions Gave Offensive Coordinator A Substantial Raise This Off-Season
The Detroit Lions were one of the NFL's most surprising teams in 2022, and while they fell just short of the playoffs, their offence was fantastic, and has a chance to be elite in 2023, so it would have worried plenty of Lions fans when young Offensive Coordinator Ben Johnson began drawing attention as a future Head Coach this off-season.
However, they were able to breathe a massive sigh of relief when he committed to this rising team for the future, and today, it was revealed that he was given a 'substantial' raise to stay with Detroit this off-season, but at this point, it's only a matter of time until he's getting more interest as a Head Coach.
Under Johnson, the Lions offence improved leaps and bounds, as veteran QB Jared Goff was once again named to the Pro Bowl, and if they can stay healthy, especially at running back this upcoming season, they should take another massive leap forward.#Lions have given Offensive Coordinator Ben Johnson a "substantial raise" to stay on the team as OC, per @SInow
