Denver Broncos Interview Surprise Candidate For Defensive Coordinator
The Denver Broncos had a disastrous 2022 campaign, and have a big job ahead of them if they are to turn it around for 2023, but have started well with the hiring of veteran, proven winner Sean Payton as their Head Coach.
Now, they'll need to fill out this staff before they hit free agency and the 2023 NFL Draft and begin filling out their roster, they need to find two new Coordinators, and on Wednesday, they interviewed a very interesting candidate in former Patriots assistant Matt Patricia, who also served as the Detroit Lions Head Coach in recent years.
Beyond that, they've still got their eyes on both Rex Ryan and Vance Joseph, so no matter who they land, it's safe to say that Denver are going star hunting for their next Defensive Coordinator to lead this star studded unit. The #Broncos spent today with an intriguing candidate for their vacant defense coordinator job: Matt Patricia. Sources tell me and @TomPelissero the former #Patriots assistant is in Denver speaking with Sean Payton today. Rex Ryan and Vance Joseph are also top candidates.
