Chargers Hire New Quarterbacks Coach; Former Cowboys Coach

The Chargers have hired Doug Nussmeier to be their new quarterbacks coach.

Nussmeier has spent the last five seasons with the Dallas Cowboys and the last three as the team's quarterbacks coach.

Nussmeier started his coaching career as a graduate assistant at his alma mater, Idaho. He later served as quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator for various college teams, including Michigan State, Fresno State, Washington, Alabama, and Florida.

In 2014, Nussmeier was hired as offensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions, and then went on to hold the same position with the Oakland Raiders and the Dallas Cowboys. Photo Credit:  Jason Parkhurst-USA TODAY Sports
