Carolina Panthers Request To Interview Jaguars Coach For OC Role
The Carolina Panthers have started the off-season well, with the announcement of Frank Reich as Head Coach, but before we get to the 2023 NFL Draft, it would be ideal for them if they could find an Offensive Coordinator to help them build towards a promising future.
Yesterday, they looked to a veteran to potentially fill that role, as the team officially requested to interview Jacksonville Jaguars passing game coordinator Jim Bob Cooter, who last served as an Offensive Coordinator with the Detroit Lions from 2016-2018.
The 38-year old is an NFL veteran with 14 years of coaching experience, and if the Panthers can combine him with a promising young Quarterback like C.J. Stroud, this could once again be a team on the rise in the NFC.The #Panthers have requested permission to speak with #Jaguars pass game coordinator Jim Bob Cooter for their OC job, source said. They’ve done the same for #Lions assistant head coach Duce Staley for an elevated position on their staff.
