Carolina Panthers Re-Sign Special Teams Veteran
The Carolina Panthers have been on fire thus far in the 2022 off-season, and today, they made another fantastic move, as they brought back a core special teamer who will now continue as the longest tenured Panther on the team.
That would be veteran long snapper J.J. Jansen, who will enter his 15th year with the Carolina Panthers, and while it's certainly not the most important position on the field, having a veteran presence like that in a position like that will certainly invigorate the whole group.
If the Panthers can fill their QB position and add some other pieces, this could be a team that competes for the NFC South crown in 2023, and with Jansen back, it brings consistency to what may be one of the youngest teams in the NFL.Panthers re-signed veteran long snapper J.J. Jansen to a one-year deal Monday. The team’s longest-tenured player will return under a new coaching staff.
